the first major snowfall
This was the snowfall before the major one we had this Sunday. The kids could still walk around in the yard with out sinking up to their waists.
We decided to dig out the sleds and try out our hill. It's the perfect size for Alex and Lani. Alex had a blast and Lani only wanted to push the sleds down the hill. I am sure she will end up sledding eventually. I am just so happy that they both enjoy the snow so we do not have to be trapped inside all winter. I may actually keep my sanity over the next few months:)
Lastly, does anyone know if they still make gloves that the inside goes up the childs arm? Lani's gloves wont stay in her sleeves and she freaks out every single time.

When my kids were little, there used to be a strap thingy with clips at each end that you put through the arms of the jacket and hooked the gloves to - don't know if they still make them or not. Get a pair of knee socks (old ones) and cut the end then attach to the gloves - the length of the sock should cover her arms (inside the coat) and maybe the gloves would stay on ... Wish we had some snow - looks like fun!

It is a good thing they enjoy the snow. They'd be miserable for a good part of the year otherwise I'm thinking! Y'all stay warm!

We ended up probably getting a total of 2 1/2 feet of snow here....a record for these parts! It's finally stopped and we're back to rain, sooo....now we can worry about floods. But it was so nice to have a "white Christmas"!
