vacation....the airport edition

We flew out of Boston and Michael's sister dropped us off bright and early on a Saturday morning. Wesley and Lani spent most of the time snacking on Dunkin Donuts muffins and watching the planes take off.

The flight went so well. Lani had a few close calls like I mentioned before. I wish she had taken a little nap but there was just too much excitement:) She did sleep on the short plane ride from Chicago to Peoria.

Our trip home wasn't quite as smooth due to delays in Chicago. We already had a 3 hour layover then we ended up with a 2 hour delay. Nothing like spending 5 hours in an airport with two tired kids. They both did soooo well though. O'Hare has a fun play area and we spent a lot of time there. We also ate lunch at Johnny Rockets and just hung out on the floor playing games on the computer or watching movies on the DVD player. WOW! Thank goodness for technology:)


We finally made it home to some very cool and windy weather. It was welcome relief from the 90's that Illinois gave us!! My BIL Josh picked us up at the airport since he was working in Boston that day. Poor guy had to hang around for hours waiting for us!! We definitely owe him one.
