this and that
I wanted to remind everyone to go and sign up for my book giveaway! There isn't too many entries so your chances are pretty good:) If you mention it on your blog I will throw your name in the "hat" twice.
We are slowly getting prepared for Lani's birthday party. The weather could go either way and I am trying not to keep checking the weekend forecast on my local news website. Normally I wouldn't care, but I have a lot of people coming with a lot of kids and I just don't have the room in my house. Plus, Lani would most likely have an anxiety attack with all those kid's touching her things. I tried to reserve the lodge in our association but it's been booked from 9-5 that day:( Oh, well! As long as Lani has a nice day then I will be happy. Michael went to the store and stocked up on Abby Cadabby birthday supplies from Target. We wont open them until we know who is coming so I can return whatever we don't use. I also have a cake idea, but I think that it looks better in my mind. I really wish Sharon and her cake making self was closer;)
Wesley's practice and game was canceled for the week so that's two things I can cross off of my to do list. Michael's band is playing this weekend for a Relay for Life benefit. If you are local and would like to check them out then shoot me an email and I will give you more information. I think that I am more nervous than Michael is!!
Lani has been running a fever and feeling yucky the past couple of days. I can feel a molar coming in so I am hoping it's only teething and not something more. I will give her one more day and if the fever persists then I will call the doctor. I don't want her to be sick on her birthday. She woke up at 6am this morning and asked to go "night night" at 8:45am. She has been sleeping in my bed 90 minutes so far. I actually got to watch Ellen with no interruptions since Oliver is napping also. Oh, and I am blogging:) I REALLY should be cleaning, but whatever!!

Planning kid birthday parties is stressful! I'm glad I don't have to think about that until next March. I hope it goes well for you!!
I hope Lani's better by her birthday! At least you got to have come relaxing time to yourself this morning! :)
Haha, I should be cleaning too! Aw, poor Lani, Hope she feels better by her birthday!
Also, I have an award for you on my post today if you want to go pick it up!!
Good luck with the party! It's such a big undertaking, but usually very worth the effort. Hope the weather holds out for you. Crummy on the lodge being booked ... they CHARGE us to use ours (ridiculous rates too, like what you'd pay for a wedding reception venue!!), as if we don't pay enough in HOA dues. :P
I am glad the planning is coming along.
Poor Lani, still sick. I am sure she will be better soon.
I should be working in the yard it is 67, I was out in the 80 degrees yesterday, blah.
u're too sweet! thx for the "plug" ;0)
i hope that lani's bday turns out to b a great one - regardless of the weather/location! don't stress it - i know that's hard tho....my kids' parties always give me an ulcer....it's hard to just sit back and enjoy them! and i hope she's feeling better soon too!
we did big for the first party... second party was just family... I think next year will be pretty much the same...
but really sucks that you don't know what is going on with Lani and the weather... I hope they both turn out well :)
Oh man! I hope Lani is all better come birthday time!
Hope Lani's feeling better soon!!! Ugh...I'm planning Krystina's b-day party coming up on the 28th....it's always so much running around!
Did you take the photo of the Gerbera? Beautiful Wendy!
So jealous you got to watch Ellen!
ugh! Kids birthday parties make my head hurt. We keep them much simpler these days. Blake is turning 8 next week and inviting 5 friends over for two hours. That's enough for me. It gets easier when the kids are old enough to get dropped off so you don't have to entertain their parents too!
