weaning herself
Lani didn't want to nurse last night before bed. I thought I would be okay with this, but I honestly feel a little rejected:( Weird!!! I knew it was coming because she has been "nibbling" and "biting"!! OUCH!! I usually say "Lani, you want bobbies and go night night" and she would say "yah, yah" and run right over. Last night I picked her up and she just pushed me away saying "all done"!! So, I just laid her in the crib with baby and she cried for about 1 minutes and slept until 8:30 this morning. I guess she knows what she wants!!
My biggest worry about the weaning is my breast milk was a huge part of her nutrition! She is so picky and I don't think hot dogs, chicken nuggets, and baby gummies add much nutrition;)

I think nearly all kids between 1-2 have fairly poor diets. They are just all so picky and its very hard to get them to eat things that are good for them. Especially vegetables. I wouldnt worry too much. Have you tried the new V-8 juices that have a daily serving of fruits AND vegetables in it? Emma loves that juice.
I agree with the previous comment. Talk to you doc and see what they have to say about that. Most kiddos are pretty healthy, even though we don't think they are.
Wow, that's a long time overnight, I hope it continues for you! :)
Awww..it was really hard for me when Merci just stopped nursing old turkey at 11 months=(
Juicy Juice also has a veggie fruit juice, my kids love it.
E is a strange little 3 year old, he loves veggies! He will eat carrots and green pepper for breakfast, lunch and dinner=) Gotta have Ranch though, and I don't give him much, he knows 1 dip per veggie=)
Today he asked for a smoothie, so I put apples, carrots, zuchinni, grapes and raspberries w/ some ice and he slurped it down even though h know veggies were in it.
I am not bragging, I am amazed myself=) I think he would be a veggitarian if we let him.
I totally agree with AlfredsMom....I remember feeling the same way...Rejected. but you need to think that you did give her 15 Months of great nutrition...Hang in there...
Hey was the Powder soy a success? or a Flop??
Does she drink regular milk?? Because Ava's diet sounds about the same as her's. Hot dogs, goldfish, chicken nuggets and french fries. Occasionally I'll get her to eat some vegetables, but I can't help but think I need to fatten her up a bit since she's a skinny 21 pounds at 18 months! But she does drink milk so I'm hoping she's getting some nutrition from that. But I just got her off formula completely at about 14 months!
awe...poor wendy is rejected! Is is weird that Terri (last night and today) smacked her lips and pretended to make kisses at my boobs? Is trying to convert? OH NO!
Ask about the veggies juices. Terri loves them and IF Mason will drink them then anyone will.
I'm just glad you got some sleep!
