Shannon's Surprise Party

Melanie and I had a surprise party Saturday for our friend Shannon who is moving to Georgia next week! We had a great time even though a lot of people cancelled due to the snow we got Friday night! COME ON PEOPLE! This is New England! So, we had A LOT of food, A LOT of kids, and A LOT of fun! It was good to catch up with some friends that I haven’t seen since leaving my old job a year ago! I even had a few drinks which I hadn’t had since I found out I was pregnant with Lani! It was a Pina Colada, which I had never had before! It was YUMMY! I wish I could have had more, but I didn’t want to get Lani drunk:) Speaking of Lani! Melanie has a miniature pincher dog, named Harley, who is a hyper spaz and Lani usually freaks out when she sees him! At the party she was loving him and just wanted to touch him! It was great so we were allowing it until about 10 minutes later her right eye swelled up, she broke out in hives on that side of her face, and it was bright red! I felt horrible! I gave her some Benadryl and it went away really fast! Thank Goodness! I wonder if she will have this reaction to all dogs?
